Discover Baseball!

The Discover Baseball! program is designed and created for those who:
- are new to baseball and just beginning their baseball journey
- want to explore if the game of baseball is something that they will enjoy
- want to develop some “basic” baseball skills in a lower pressure environment before playing on a team and in games
- want to build their baseball skills in a more social environment.to better understand the “team” dynamic of the game

The program consists of group sessions, where participants will engage in basic baseball skill development drills and exercises (throwing, fielding, hitting); fun “baseball-like” activities to understand the basic rules and strategies of the game; and instructional/developmental games to allow participants to focus on the improvement of their baseball skills and the excitement of sports competition.

The sessions are scheduled for every Saturday morning from 9am-11am, at Sumner Playground Park Baseball Field. The sessions will begin April 25^th and run until June 27^th.

Registration fees will include a BedStuy Sluggers jersey and baseball cap. The program will provide all bats, balls, and training equipment required for each session. Participants should wear clothing conducive to active, athletic movement. Participants will provide their own baseball glove with a recommendation from the instructor week one of the program.

The cost for the program is $350.
